The Address Hotels and Resorts in Dubai
The Address Hotels & Resorts, the new hotel brand launched by Emaar Hospitality Group (EHG), will assume the management and operations of The Palace, The Old Town hotel within Downtown Burj Dubai. The five star hotel was earlier managed by Sofitel, the hotel management brand of French Accor Group.
Mr Marc Dardenne, Chief Executive Officer, Emaar Hospitality Group, said: “Sofitel’s contribution to developing The Palace, The Old Town as one of the premier hotels in Dubai has been invaluable. We thank them for their support and creating a direction of growth since October 2007.”

Dubailand Restless Planet Dinosaurs
A new 80 metre high dome will be constructed to house the Restless Planet Dinosaurs theme park in Dubailand. The amusement park will include over 100 dinosaurs, some of which are over five stories tall. Total cost will be $300 million but no timeframe was given.

Asmaran at Bawadi unveils the Maysan Towers
Emaar Bawadi, the joint venture between Emaar Properties PJSC and Bawadi, a member of Tatweer, has unveiled the Maysan Towers, the first residential tower complex comprising three high-rise apartment towers within the 70 million sq ft Asmaran master-planned community in Bawadi.
Potential customers must register interest online at www.emaar.com on June 29, 2008 from 6am to 6 pm only. Registered customers can purchase homes on a ‘first registered, first served’ basis on June 30 at a sales event to be held at the newly opened Asmaran Sales Centre located on Al Qudra Road. Emaar’s Dubai Mall is getting ready to open Dubai’s first and only Olympic sized ice skating rink. You can’t help but wonder how many people in the mideast like to ice skate?
